Dr. Rick is a Board Certified Optometrist with three decades of clinical practice behind him. He graduated Cum Laude from the Illinois College of Optometry and has built his career on the idea that an exam should feel less like a transaction and more like a conversation between two people who both care about the outcome.

His clinical strengths are comprehensive eye care, contact lens fitting (including specialty work), and the management of ocular disease. Increasingly, his practice has folded in holistic wellness — sleep, nutrition, screen habits — because the eyes don't operate in isolation from the rest of the body, and treatment plans that pretend otherwise tend to underperform.
Outside the office, Dr. Rick has volunteered for the Gift of Sight program and partnered with local schools to provide vision services for kids who'd otherwise go without. Weekends are spent outside with his wife and family — hiking, biking, the beach, whatever's not indoors.
