Res/Rei

Hand-finished Italian acetate. Quietly architectural, small-batch luxury.

The House

Res/Rei — the story.

Res/Rei is an independent Italian maker working out of the Cadore region — the same Dolomite valley where most of the world's premium eyewear has been manufactured for over a century.

The collection sits in the architectural-minimalist corner of the category. Frames are clean-lined and considered, often in muted acetate colorways (smoke, fog, sand, dark olive) rather than bold tones, with subtle metalwork at the bridge or temples.

Every piece is hand-finished in small batches. The result is a frame that doesn't announce itself but rewards a closer look — the kind of thing other opticians notice and ask about.

Signature Piece

What we'd put on your face first.

Any of the muted-acetate panto or rectangle shapes — the frames that look modest until you pick them up and feel the weight of real Italian acetate.

Why we carry it

The shop's take.

Because there's a quiet, design-conscious customer who doesn't want a logo and doesn't want a statement — just an excellent, considered frame. Res/Rei is for them.
