German precision built around heritage shapes. Hand-assembled, screw by screw.
Lunor was founded by Gernot Lindner in the Black Forest in 1991 with a deceptively simple proposition: build eyewear the way it was built in the 1920s and 30s, with the materials and tolerances available in the 1990s.
Every Lunor frame is hand-assembled in the same Black Forest workshop. The hinges are 18 individual components. The screws are stainless. The acetate is from Mazzucchelli. The temples are riveted, the bridges are shaped by hand on a hot-iron, and the lenses sit in a wire-core acetate front that has barely changed since their first collection.
Lunor is what you wear when you want the look of an inherited frame from your grandfather's optometrist — but built with modern materials and a prescription you can actually wear.
The Lunor M9 — a classic panto in golden acetate with German-silver wire bridge. Or the A6 round, in tortoise.
Because the heritage-frame look is having its moment and Lunor does this better, more authentically, than anyone trying to imitate the style.
Every Lunor frame in our collection is here to be tried on. Walk in during open hours, or book a personal-shopping appointment for the full experience.
