Madison Avenue independent. Architectural frames from a NYC optician turned designer.
Robert Marc built his reputation as one of New York's great independent opticians, with a run of Madison Avenue boutiques that became a destination for clients who wanted eyewear treated as seriously as tailoring. The house collection grew out of that optician's-eye view: frames designed by someone who has fitted thousands of faces.
The design language is architectural New York — clean lines, considered proportions, sophisticated two-tone laminations and muted colorways that read as texture rather than statement. Frames are produced in premium acetates and titanium with Japanese-level finish work.
It's a collection for the client who wants something clearly designed, clearly independent, and completely wearable — the frame equivalent of a perfectly cut blazer.
Any of the two-tone laminated rectangles or pantos — shapes that flatter in the mirror and photograph even better.
Because the optician-turned-designer pedigree shows. These frames fit beautifully out of the tray, and the NYC design sensibility travels well to the island.
Every Robert Marc frame in our collection is here to be tried on. Walk in during open hours, or book a personal-shopping appointment for the full experience.
